Hello Palms-ers and Palms-ettes,
(de Palmas?)
Time is ticking until the premier episode of my next podcast project, A Long Way from Disney. This will be a collection of linked stories about Adam Berkman, a young man growing up and coming of age in Boston in the 1980s. These stories are as far from Disney's American family as Boston is from Orlando. It’s real life, every word of the way.
I should also say ahead of time that they're far from Jack Palms' streets of San Francisco, but you'll find that out soon enough.
The first (premier) episode "When They Were Calling You in for Dinner" will be coming to you in just over a week, on Wednesday, Feb. 28th. After that, I'll be right back with a second story on Sunday March 4 and then on every Sunday thereafter.
The feed information: as soon as you can, go ahead and visit my newly designed site at www.sethharwood.com and subscribe on the podcasts page. This'll get you to a new, long-term designated feed at feeds.feedburner.com/sethharwood that you'll be able to stay with from here on out and for all the podcast projects I'll give you. Good news, right? Yes, it is. For now I'll be podcasting A Long Way from Disney for the Spring and then I'll be here in the summer to bring you Jack Palms II, the sequel (official title still undecided). (Though I may have a "name that book" contest coming soon... (don't worry, all the obvious titles have already been suggested)) Yes, JPII is coming along nicely and should be in the revision stages within the next few months. That's right, the first draft is nearing a place where a light can be see distantly at the end of the tunnel. Or maybe it's all just coming into form. We'll see; no promises as to dates, but it's happening people, it's happening.
So don't fear: I'm here and coming back to you soon and quickly with more great content that you know and expect from SethHarwood.com. Stay tuned, keep your eyes open, and keep checking your feed-devices. There's a promo episode of "Long Way" out already, called "Tattooed People." Read it or listen to it on the site today!
Best wishes and stay warm if you're in a place that's cold. Yours,
Seth Harwood
